If you have the means to create a reasonably clear scan of your photos, you can commission a hand-painted oil portrait from KieferArt. It's as simple as that. NEW: KieferArt is now offering a low cost alternative to fully-fleshed portraits: OIL SKETCHES! Click here for details. |
Painting from life with your subject would be ideal, but our hectic lives usually don't allow us that much free time. And what about the surprise of a gift portrait? It wouldn't be much of a surprise if your subject were forced to pose for me in my studio for days on end. I've devised this online process to be as convenient as possible while still being able to provide you with a professional, handcrafted portrait that you will be proud to own or present as a gift. Whether you are interested in an oil sketch of your subject or a fully developed portrait, the process is the same. Once you have scanned a few photos of your subject, you can upload them to the COMMISSION FORM (below) along with your comments and questions. After mulling through the possibilities, if you decide to commission the portrait, our formal agreement to proceed with the project can be done here, too, printable for your records. Your payment(s) will be securely processed through PayPal. So, other than the actual painting and mailing of the portrait, we'll be able do everything else on this site. Nothing that passes between us will be accessible by the general public. Your personal information will be treated with the utmost discretion. You will receive my replies to your questions and comments as well as progress notices (initial rough sketches for your approval, a glimpse of your portrait in progress, etc.) on the KieferArt MESSAGE BOARD. So, why not just do it all by email? I have specially designed the commission form so that all of your images, personal data and correspondence are safely stored on this site's data base. That data base will be the repository for the entirety of our project, allowing me to keep it well organized, secure and in one place.
